Wizkid Mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun is dead.

 

Newsonline Nigeria reports that Grammy award-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has lost his mother, Jane Balogun.

 

This Nigeria News Platform gathered that Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun died at around 1.30 am on Friday in a shocking event that has thrown the entertainment industry into a state of mourning.

 

A trusted source close to the singer confirmed to Goldmyne, a prominent media outlet, that Wizkid’s mother passed away in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023.

 

Wizkid has yet to issue any public statement addressing this tragic occurrence.

 

The report reads, “In a sad turn of events, Wizkid, the renowned Nigerian musician, has lost his mother.

“The entertainment industry and fans alike have been thrown into a state of mourning.

 

“Reports from a close associate of the Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and performer Ayodeji Balogun, who is popularly known as Wizkid, have confirmed that the singer lost his mother in the early hours of today, Friday, August 18, 2023.”

“Mrs. Balogun, was a pillar of support for her son’s flourishing career, often seen showing her support for him on from the sidelines at concerts and events.

“Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has not yet made a public statement regarding the loss.

“Her presence at Wizkid’s performances was not just that of a mother, but also a symbol of unwavering support for her son’s musical journey.”
