State Governor has sacked 17 LG Chairmen.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has officially dissolved the 17 Local Government Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen.

 

The Governor disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday night.

The dissolution took effect from September 6, 2024.

 

ALSO: Government Declares Three Days Public Holiday

These committees, initially set up on June 9, 2023, were extended multiple times before the final announcement.

 

The Directors of Personnel Management in the respective local government areas have been tasked with handling administrative duties until the scheduled elections on October 9, 2024.

 

The Governor expressed appreciation for the contributions of the outgoing chairmen and emphasized the importance of their ongoing support for peace and development in Plateau State.
