President Tinubu has announced 8 key appointments.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved eight new appointments, naming Ibrahim Ida as Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and nominating seven commissioners for the National Population Commission (NPC).
The appointments were disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
According to the statement, Ida brings extensive experience in public administration and finance, having previously served as Commissioner of Finance in Katsina State and as a Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service before his election to the Senate in 2017 representing Katsina Central.

He holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan and a law degree from the University of Abuja.
In addition, the President nominated seven individuals as commissioners for the National Population Commission, pending confirmation by the National Assembly. The nominees include Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi (Ekiti), Nasiru Mu’azu (Zamfara), Usman Abubakar Tuggar (Bauchi), Isaka Alada Yahaya (Kwara), Sadiq Isah Radda (Katsina), Suleiman Umar (Jigawa), and Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo (Sokoto).
The presidency expressed confidence that the appointees will contribute effectively to the administration’s governance agenda, emphasizing their role in advancing national development priorities.
