NLC has threatened a total economy shutdown with a strike over a proposed petrol price increase to #720 in Nigeria.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that organised Labour, on Monday, threatened to proceed on a total, comprehensive and indefinite nationwide shutdown of the country if there’s another increase in petrol pump price from the existing 617 Naira.

This Nigeria News platform understands that NLC president, Joe Ajaero gave the warning at the African Trade Union alliance meeting in Abuja.

He also warned against undermining the demands of the union.

This comes amid speculations that pump price of petrol may increase N720 per litre.
