BREAKING: Governor Fubara Set To Swear In Newly Elected LG Chairmen

Governor Fubara is set to swear in all the newly elected LG Chairmen.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State, will today (Sunday) swear the newly elected local government chairmen into office.

 

This Nigeria news platform gathered that the swearing-in of the newly elected chairmen would hold at the Executive Council Chambers of the state’s Government House in Port Harcourt, by 4:00 pm.

 

This was disclosed via a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo.

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, declared the winners of the local government elections, with 22 of 23 LGAs won by the Action Peoples Party (APP).

 

The statement reads: “His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Governor of Rivers State, will today Sunday, October 6, 2024, swear-in the newly elected Council Chairmen at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, by 4:00 pm.

 

“The newly elected Chairmen, along with one (1) guest each, are expected to be seated by 3:30 pm.”
