Government has declared Friday Public Holiday.

 

News Online reports that Oyo State Government has declared Friday, May 21, 2021, a public holiday.

A statement on Thursday by Governor Seyi Makinde’s spokesman, Taiwo Adisa, made the announcement.

 

News Online learnt that Makinde approved the holiday to enable the state conduct a hitch-free local government election scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2021.

The governor advised residents to carry out their activities peacefully, and go to their respective areas en masse to vote.

 

Makinde reminded them that voting was their civic responsibility and urged them to participate.
