Fuel Tanker has overturned at Tincan Liverpool Bridge as Lagos residents scoop spilled PMS.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that a fuel tanker laden with petroleum motor spirit (PMS) has overturned at the Tincan Liverpool Bridge in Apapa, Lagos, causing panic and drawing a crowd to the scene.

 

A video shared by Channels Television on Monday morning showed several Nigerians scooping fuel from the fallen tanker beneath the bridge, despite the obvious danger.

“Happening now at Tincan Liverpool Bridge, Apapa: A tanker overturned, with people scooping its contents from underneath the bridge,” Channels TV reported.

 

Incidents involving fuel tankers remain a recurring tragedy in Nigeria, with authorities repeatedly warning the public against collecting spilled fuel due to the high risk of explosions and loss of lives.

 

As of the time of filing this report, no official statement has been released by emergency responders, and it is unclear if there are casualties.
