Public Holiday For 2025 Sallah Celebrations

FG has declared two days public holiday for 2025 Sallah Celebrations.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to allow Muslims in Nigeria and around the world to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha.

 

The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement released by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.

The Minister congratulated Muslims across the country and abroad, urging them to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim during the festive period.

 

He encouraged believers to show sacrifice, devotion, and kindness, which are the values associated with the celebration.

 

During the announcement, the Minister also asked Nigerians to pray for the unity and progress of the country.

 

He noted that this period is not only a time for celebration but also a time to renew faith and show support for the nation’s growth.

 

He further mentioned that the present administration, under President Bola Tinubu, is working on reforms aimed at improving the lives of citizens.

 

He expressed hope that the ongoing efforts would help place Nigeria on the path to better days.
