Appeal Tribunal has upheld Maikalangu as AMAC Chairman.

 

Newsonline reports that the FCT Area Council Election Appeal Tribunal, Saturday, upheld the election of Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

This online newspaper understands that in a unanimous judgement, the three-man tribunal dismissed the August 5 judgment of the FCT Area Council Election Tribunal, which declared Hon. Usman Karshi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the election held on February 12.

The judges said the judgement of the lower tribunal was not only evil but negates all the achievements recorded in Nigeria’s democracy.
