ADC has spoken on calls by founding members for Peter Obi return and clinch 2027 PDP Presidential Ticket.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, has declared that Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will not take the risk of returning to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Speaking on Arise TV’s Prime Time on Monday, Abdullahi stated that Obi is a key part of the ADC-led coalition and dismissed ongoing speculations about his possible defection.

“Let me say clearly, Peter Obi is in the coalition,” Abdullahi affirmed, adding that while the PDP may now be making overtures, it was the ADC’s involvement that stirred the party into action. He emphasized that the PDP’s political fortunes remain tightly controlled by the ruling party, making any move back there a dangerous gamble for Obi.

“Peter Obi, more than anyone else, knows that he cannot take the risk of going to the PDP,” Abdullahi concluded.
