Adunni Ade has won ₦20 million court case amid alleged romance rumours with Dino Melaye.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has celebrated her victory in a defamation lawsuit against a Nigerian news outlet.

The case dates back nearly two years after the actress was falsely linked to former senator Dino Melaye in a report that listed her among “six popular Nigerian celebrities” allegedly involved with him.

Adunni Ade, who vehemently denied the claims, took legal action against the platform, filing a ₦100 million suit for defamation and invasion of privacy.

In a post shared on her Instagram page Tuesday evening, actress Adunni Ade expressed gratitude to the Nigerian judiciary for delivering justice in her favour.

Celebrating her victory, she wrote:
“Won my case, Adunni Ade vs. Polace Media Limited (www.naijanews.com). A false story was published about me, but the truth stood tall. This judgment reinforces that privacy matters and so does integrity. Justice delayed isn’t justice denied.

“Two cases down, a few more to go. And to the one still running from court papers, please stand still so you can be served.”

Responding to comments, Adunni added, “The judge awarded ₦20 million in damages, but the blogger don japa. Na to garnish account remain.”
