Former SGF Boss Gida Mustapha has denied links to ADC or opposition alliances ahead of 2027 elections.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Gida Mustapha, has categorically dismissed reports connecting him to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or any opposition alliances ahead of the 2027 general elections, branding such claims as “fake news.”

In a statement released over the weekend, Mustapha denied any discussions or affiliations with opposition groups or political realignments.

“I am not in any opposition alliance, and I am not in any discussion with those who are involved,” he said emphatically.

Mustapha, who served as SGF from 2017 to 2023, highlighted his deep-rooted ties to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), recalling his pivotal role in the party’s formation. He referenced his tenure as Deputy National Chairman of the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), a key party that merged to create the APC.

“It is unthinkable for me to walk away from a party I helped to form,” Mustapha stated.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the APC, he urged party members to address internal challenges from within rather than seeking solutions by defecting to other parties.

“If our party has problems, as all the other parties do, we will stay and fix those problems. We don’t solve problems by decamping to other parties,” he added.
