NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Flying Eagles winger Sani Suleiman has reflected on the team’s 1-1 draw against Colombia at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Aliyu Zubairu’s boys put up a solid performance in their final Group F match on Monday morning, holding the South Americans to a stalemate.

The seven-time African champions ended the group stage in third place, collecting four points from three matches.

The Flying Eagles secured a spot in the Round of 16 as one of the best third-placed teams and are set to face Argentina for a place in the quarter-finals.

However, winger Sani Suleiman will miss the crucial clash in Santiago on Wednesday after receiving his second yellow card of the tournament late in the game against Colombia.

Despite his suspension, Suleiman expressed confidence in his teammates’ ability to deliver in his absence.

“I’m really happy that we made it to the knockout stage,” he said after the match. “Our determination and teamwork earned us the result against Colombia, and now we’re through. Hopefully, we won’t struggle like we did in the group stage. Even though I won’t be part of the squad against Argentina, I believe my teammates will get the job done.”
