The embattled national chairman of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ayu Iyorchia, had called on Nigerians to take up their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Newsonline reports that Ayu whose resignation is been demanding by Governor Wike’s camp said the only way for Nigerians to come from suffering is by voting out the APC and voting the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in 2023 election.
According to Ayu, Nigerians have had enough of the mismanagement of the economy and security in the last seven years.
The PDP chairman said this during the installation of Eyitayo Jegede, as Balogun of the Cathedral Church of Saint David Ijomu Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
Represented by Senator Sam Anyanwu, the PDP national chairman told Nigerians that for life to come back to normal the presidential candidate of PDP Atiku Abubakar should be voted come 2023 election.
Ayu further lamented the high cost of foods on the market, particularly rice which is higher than the N30,000 minimum wage for workers.
He also blamed the ruling APC administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for the ASUU strike which has kept students at home for too long.
The PDP national chairman promised that Atiku will fix all the problems of the country and return the country to part of progress.
He said, “Nigerians are suffering. The price of a bag of rice is more than the minimum wage of workers. When PDP was ruling, things were cheap.
“University students have stayed at home for almost a year under the leadership of APC government.”
