2023 Election: How We're Mobilizing, Educating Northern Voters - Sen Datti

Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice-presidential candidate of Labour Party, has disclosed that his team is mobilizing and educating Northern voters on the need to elect good leaders.

Newsonline reports that Datti disclosed that Northern voters are being made to understand that electing good leaders is practically putting money in their pockets and bringing security to their doorstep.

Baba-Ahmed Datti lamented that the country, especially North is mostly in the hands of bandits.

Datti said the Northern voters must be educated on the need to vote for good leaders as their region is more unsecured than other parts of the country.

Datti said, “Up north, we are educating people that electing a good leader is practically putting money in your pocket, bringing security to your doorstep, Good education in your head and good health in your body.”

The Labour Party vice-presidential candidate further disclosed that his love for good leadership was the reason for sponsoring bill against inflated government contracts.

He stated that with the education of voters up North, old politicians who have held the North hostage for years will be retired.

“We are taking our country back. Right now the country doesn’t belong to us, it belongs to people in the bush. We will respectfully retire some politicians.”

Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed was yesterday unveiled officially as running mate to Peter Obi in the coming 2023 general election.

Datti was a former House Representatives member for the Zaria constituency and a former Senator for Kaduna Central.

Datti is also the founder of Baze University, a private tertiary institution in Abuja.
