Peter Obi’s campaign promise of moving the country from consumption to production resonates well among the youths who see him as a saviour in a country ravaged by the corruption of the old political class.

In the 2019 general election, Peter Obi contested as a vice-presidential candidate under the PDP along with Atiku Abubakar, the incumbent presidential candidate of the PDP.

The supporters of Peter Obi who designate themselves as ‘Obidients’ have been accused to be only social media based.

In what seems like proof of their determination to see to the success of their candidate come 2023 general election, the Obidients started a one million march rally across the country for sensitizations of the grassroots people who are off the social media.

The first of the rallies started with Lafia in Nassarawa State, the train moved to Calabar, Cross River State, to Owerri, Imo State.

Peter Obi will be contesting the highest office of the country in February 2023 along with influential and more established political candidates and parties, Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress, a former governor of Lagos State and Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party, a former vice president of the country, Nigeria.
